Clint Galvas Has Done A Great Job As New Lothrop Football Head Coach In His Time There.

Clint Galvas has done a excellent job as New Lothrop Hornets Head Coach in Football in the last 11 years at the helm. Building a good foundation & program there now. Taking them back to the MHSAA Playoffs once again in 2019. Went to the Division 7 Semifinals twice already in 2015 & 2018. Lost to Ishpeming in 2015 at NMU in Marquette, MI at the Superior Dome. Ishpeming went onto be State Champions in 2015. Won the Division 7 Semifinals against Lake City a year ago. Won The Division 7 State Title Against Madison Heights Madison At Ford Field In Detroit 50-44 On Thanksgiving Weekend. They lost in the Division 8 Semifinals in 2011 to the Mendon Hornets & Mendon went onto be State Champions in Division 8 in 2011. In 2013 they lost to the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders in the Division 8 Semifinals & went onto be Division 8 State Champions. They lost to the State Runner-Up Squad Fulton-Middleton in 2010. Lost to the Division 8 State Champions Harbor Beach Pirates in 2012 both of them where in the Division 8 District Championship Game. They lost to the Back 2 Back State Champions in the Division 7 District Championship Game at home to the P-W Pirates in 2017. I was impressed with them in the Frankenmuth Eagles Football Game on the road in a very very tough hostile environment the Frankenmuth Eagles at Frankenmuth HS on Friday Night 42-22 victory on the road. Grand Valley State Commit Avery Moore impressed me as well too at QB for this Offense. They score points in bunches & play Defense. Frankenmuth had a Top 10 Team in Division 5 going into that showdown on Friday Night. Impressive Victory on the road indeed. Clint is had incredible players on the squad year in & year out. It is showing you why, he is going to be a future High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame. He was a 2000 Montrose HS Graduated & went to Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI & got his degree in education. Teacher at New Lothrop HS right now. Played on the 1998 Class CC State Championship Squad the Montrose Rams for another future Hall of Fame Head Coach Dennis Reinhart. Clint is excited guy to talk to & brings in good enthusiasm to the New Lothrop Hornets squad. Knows what he is doing. Seeing that one indeed. Coach at Flint Hamady 1st for a few years. Former New Lothrop HS Principal & Former Sandusky Superintendent Mike Carmean hired Clint Galvas in the off-season in 2009 to be there Head Coach at New Lothrop in Football. Clint had him as a Teacher at Montrose HS in his Freshman season. Remembers Ryan Hodges playing QB in his Freshman season for the Montrose Rams Football Team in 1996. Getting a road playoff victory against the Frankenmuth Eagles in the 1st Rd of the Class CC Playoffs at the same place. 1995 Class B Regional Championship Game against the Frankenmuth Eagles which was Dennis Reinhart 1st season as Head Coach on 4th & inches Ryan Hodges was short of the 1st down. Frankenmuth had a good squad & it was there best squad they had in School History in 1995. Joe Jacobs was there stud QB for Head Coach John Blankenship for the Frankenmuth Eagles. Clint played on the 1999 Montrose Rams squad that went onto beat the Frankenmuth Eagles in the 1st Rd of the Division 5 State Playoffs at Frankenmuth HS 35-0. Clint is a very friendly guy & he would talk to you anyways.

Congratulations To Clint Galvas On Another 9-0 Regular Season Record Once For The New Lothrop Hornets Football & Program On Friday Night Beating A Good Frankenmuth Eagles Squad On The Road In A Very Very Tough Environment. They Are Used To That One Indeed. Good Luck In The Division 7 Playoffs In 2019.
