Matt Carlson lead the Sandusky Redskins Boys Basketball Team to 2 victories this past week for Head Coach Tristan Pennington at home against the Harbor Beach Pirates on Wednesday Night & Capac Chiefs on Valentine’s Day Night. Had a Career High 22 Points in a home victory against the Capac Chiefs on Friday Night. They lose Zach Franzel to a season ending shoulder injury in the Capac Game at home on Friday Night. His experience has guide Matt to be a better Basketball Player for the Sandusky Redskins Boys Basketball Team this season. Played on Varsity as a Sophomore a year ago. His development has come along ways away already now for the Sandusky Redskins. His 2021 Class at Sandusky HS is a good core of Athletes. Ran Track & Field in 2018 as a Freshman. QB on the Varsity in the last 2 years. Guide them to the Playoffs in the last 2 years. Going to play Baseball this season for Head Coach Ryan Pritchett in 2020. Dedicated all-around athlete. Good student in the classroom & also in sports & other community events that are going on as well too. Tyler Nelson is a good Basketball Player as well too. Good big guy there to help them out as well too. Good around week for Matt Carlson & the Sandusky Redskins onto 2 victories at home against the Harbor Beach Pirates & Capac Chiefs in GTCE Division Play. 9-6 overall record & 8-1 in GTCE Division Play. 1st Place Alone Now. Work has to be done yet for the Sandusky Redskins Boys Basketball Team still. 5 games remaining on the schedule. Ubly at home, gotta go to Brown City & Marlette to play still. Good shot at being GTCE Division Champions in the 2019-20 season. Gotta stay focus on the other stuff as well too. Business to take of 1st is take one day & one game at a time. Stay within the course at all-times. Trust your stuff & believe in your coaches & teammates at all-times as well too. Good Junior Class right now.
