Ralph Munger was a Legendary High School Football Head Coach for the Frankenmuth Eagles & Rockford Rams during his time period. Had some amazing players on both places he was at during his days. Developed them very well indeed. Knew how to get the best of them each & every time down in practices & games. Good Players Coach. Won 335 games which 6th on the all-time winningest Head Coach in Michigan High School Football History. Hall of Fame Football Head Coach in the State of Michigan. Took Rockford in the Division 1 State Championship Game a few times during his amazing High School Coaching Career from 1992-19. Ben Braden played for Ralph Munger at Rockford he was the OG. Went on to play for the Michigan Wolverines Football Team & Program in 2013-16 in Ann Arbor for Head Coach Brady Hoke & Jim Harbaugh. Sat out as a True Freshman in 2012. Played in the NFL for a couple of years. Best Frankenmuth Eagles Football Team he had as a Head Coach was in 1987. Went 11-1 overall record. Qualified for the Class B Playoffs. That wasn’t easy to get in 1987. Won 2 road playoff games. Went to the Class B Semifinals & lost in that one. John Blankenship took over for Ralph Munger in 1992 for the Frankenmuth Eagles Football Team & Program. Very good Head Coach also too. Best squad he had out there was in 1995 with Joe Jacobs at QB. Scott Stasik & Dave Compau on the DL. Todd Sprowl at WR. Good squad indeed. Went 11-1 overall record in 1995. Lose to the Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets in the Class B Semifinals at SVSU on a Cold Snowy Day. Ralph Munger is a very nice guy. Helping kids to succeed after there playing days are over. Make smart choices in the upcoming years. Go to the point you wanna be at in the future. Did special for both places he was High School at. Good High School Football Player for the Frankenmuth Eagles. Member on the 1968 & 1969 State Championship Teams when he was a Player in High School. Knew Football very well from top 2 bottom. Knew what he was doing. Players bought into that system very well. Enjoying Retirement Already Now. 67 years old. Wants to spend time with his wife. Been married for 45 years already. Cares about the people & players on the team. Always will be a Frankenmuth Eagle & Rockford Ram for the rest of his life. Bring back memories in the future.
