Brendan Kay is helping out the Marine City Mariners Football Team & Program right now as QB’s Coach for Head Coach Daryn Leston. Standout QB in his playing days at Marine City for Head Coach Tony Scarcelli in his 3 years on Varsity. Won 3 District Titles in Division 4. Regional Championship Title & Division 4 State Championship Title in 2007. Played College Football for the Cincinnati Bearcats for Head Coach Brian Kelly & Butch Jones. On the undefeated squad in 2009 for the Cincinnati Bearcats Football Team & lose to the Florida Gators on New Years Day at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. Became the starting QB in 2010-12 for Head Coach Butch Jones in Cincinnati. On the Practice squad for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL for Head Coach Mike Tomlin at QB. Good organization down there now in Pittsburgh. Always had a good a good organization there anyways in the NFL. Rooney’s are the best owners in the NFL. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers Fan as well too. Saw the Marine City Mariners Football Team lose to the Frankenmuth Eagles on Saturday Afternoon at Frankenmuth HS 31-7. Finish the season at 8-2 overall record in the 2020-21 campaign. Gotta test negative to play & coach during the COVID-19 going on now still in the Whole World we live in now. Brendan Kay is back home now in Marine City. Helping out the program once again. He grew up & raise from too. Bob Staskiewicz, Tony Scarcelli, & Ron Glodich are glad to see Brendan Kay do amazing things for himself & the community once again. Good QB in his playing days. Football has been his passion while growing up. Loves to play & coach those young guys up these days of ages we live in now. Knows the game very well. Likes the way Luke Fickell has Coached for the 2020 Cincinnati Bearcats Football Team in the last 3 years. Won the AAC Conference Title in 2020. Went undefeated in the regular season. Came up short to losing to the Georgia Bulldogs in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Game on New Years Day at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta 22-21. Had a 11-point lead at one time & lost the game by 1-pt. Luke Fickell is a good College Football Head Coach right now for the Cincinnati Bearcats. Saw what Brian Kelly did for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Rose Bowl Game on New Years Day in the CFP Semifinal Game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX lose to the Alabama Crimson Tide 31-14. Brian Kelly is one of the best College Football Head Coaches as well too. Bringing in Marcus Freeman as DC for the 2021 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team in South Bend, IN. Good DC for the Cincinnati Bearcats in the last 3 years. Brendan Kay is a hard working individual each & everyday. Goes at it 110% at all-times. Dedicated all-around person. Helping kids make this choices the right way for them in the future years. Get them out of trouble. Do the right things for the team. Trust the QB’s abilities on time 2 time basis.
