2022 Sandusky Redskins Baseball Team won the Outright GTCE Division Crown on Monday Night at Albrecht Field in Sandusky. James Minard took over for Ryan Pritchett’s position as Head Coach this off-season. Coach those guys in Tee Ball, Little League, Babe Ruth, JV, & now the Varsity level. Barry Ziehm took over as Head Coach in 1975 as a Varsity Head Coach for the Sandusky Redskins Baseball Team. Won the Thumb B, Districts, Regionals, & Quarterfinals, & Semifinals. Lose to the Bronson Vikings in a closed game. They had Jim Loding, Duane Jerome, Mark Navarro, Brian Krueger & Company. James played on a really good 1994 Sandusky Redskins Baseball Team for Head Coach Barry Ziehm. Shared the TCC Crown with the Mayville Wildcats & Reese Rockets. Class C District Champions & beat the Reese Rockets in the Class C Regional Semifinals in Marlette. Get upset by the Memphis Yellowjackets in the Class C Regional Championship Game. Really good core of talent on that team in 1994. This season had a good core of them themselves with his Son Caleb he is a Junior right now at Sandusky HS. 4 good Seniors on this squad now in Martin Tovar, Robbie Eschenburg, Ashton Phillips, & Josh Smith there done at Sandusky HS. They Graduate on Sunday May 22nd, 2022 at Sandusky HS. They did a excellent job leading with good example with good young players on the roster now. Sweep the DH against a good Brown City Green Devils Team on Thursday Night & finish that one off with a Walk-Off 2-Run Base Hit by Tyler Franzel on Monday Night in Game 1 of the DH against a Dangerous Ubly Bearcats at Albrecht Field in Sandusky…. Go 12-0 in GTCE Division Action in 2022. Tyler is a Sophomore right now at Sandusky HS. James is got some good ones coming up from the JV Level. Ryan Pritchett kept the program in excellent shape for James Minard to take over now as Varsity Baseball Coach in Sandusky. Have a good team coming up in 2o23. Won 19 games in 2021 on JV & Varsity Respectively. Good bunch of players on the team in the past & present. Barry Ziehm is proud of what James Minard brings to the table as a Player & Coach. Good Baseball Knowledges. Knows the game very well from top 2 bottom. Bringing that tradition back to Sandusky once again now. Good Baseball Town…… Good 2 years at the helm now……… Congratulations on being GTCE Division Champions in 2022…….
