Zach Charbonnet Was Brilliant For The Michigan Wolverines Football Team On Saturday At The Big House In Ann Arbor.

Zach Charbonnet was brilliant in the victory at home against the Army Golden Knights in a 24-21 in 2OT. 33 carries, 100 rushing yards, & 3 TD runs. Carried the load in the running game for the Maize & Blue as a True Freshman. Not a pretty game at all. Lost 3 fumbles & Army capitalized on 14 points off turnovers in the 1st Half. Army runs a Veer Offense. It is hard to defend in High School & College Football. Army is a good team. They where 11-2 a year ago. Gave Oklahoma Sooners a good game in the non-conference game in Norman a year ago. Oklahoma survived that one 28-21 in 2018. 4-point scenario to Oklahoma to Michigan in that one. Army went on a 10 game winning streak. Had a chance to upset that game. Freshman Army Kicker missed a 50 yard field goal at the end of regulation. Went to OT. Army got the 1st in OT. Scored on a 3rd & Goal play. Michigan got the ball 2nd. Big play on a 3rd & 6 Shea Patterson hit Ronnie Bell. Then Zach Charbonnet scored on a 2nd & goal play. Michigan got the ball 1st in the 2nd OT section. Went 3 & out. Rely on Nick Moody hit a 43 yard field goal to take a 24-21 lead. Defense rose to the occasion Kwity Paye on a QB Sack & fumble recovery to avoid the upset at home on Saturday on a 3rd & 11 play. Army moved the ball on Michigan on there 1st possession on 3rd & goal LaVert Hill made a Interception. Michigan capitalized on that one by RB Zach Charbonnet in the 3rd Quarter. Army got away with one in the 1st Quarter on a Fumble Recovery by Josh Mettelus return that one for a TD. Not was a big time controversy call by the officials. They overcome that one.
