Tarik Skubal played his College Baseball at Seattle University for one season in 2018. Played 2 season at Community College in Arizona. Got Drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 29th Round of the 2017 MLB Draft & didn’t signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Went to Seattle University instead in the WAC Conference. Got Drafted in the 9th Round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Detroit Tigers. Has a good relationship with Manager Ron Gardenhire in Detroit.
Tarik Skubal had a good season in the Minor League in 2019. 3rd in all Minor Leagues in Strikeouts with 179 also too. Good stuff as a Left-Handed Pitcher. No Minor League Games in 2020. Because of the COVID-19 going on now. Ron Gardenhire is really good with the Player Development in the MLB. Did that one with the Minnesota Twins in 2002-14 as Manager in Minneapolis.
Tarik Skubal made his MLB Debut as a Starting Pitcher for the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday Night against the Chicago White Sox at US Cellular Field in Chicago. Got the lost in his Debut. Got his 1st career MLB Strikeout in the 2nd inning. Made his 2nd MLB Career Start against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Had 5 Strikeouts & Allowed 1 Run in that game. Working on his Arm Slots & Angles, & Other Stuff moving forward to the future years. Good Command & Stuff. He will adjust going forward to the future years & develop to be a Special Left-Handed Pitcher in the MLB. Ron is glad to have Tarik Skubal on the team. 23 years old right now. Keep your eyes open on this guy moving forward to upcoming years in Detroit.
