Ashley Ziel led the way for the Millington Cardinals Softball Team in the Sweep over the Frankenmuth Eagles on Wednesday Night at Frankenmuth HS. TVC Crossover Matchup. Went the distance in both games. Solo Homer Off of Brooklyn Compau to straight away CF in the 3rd inning in the 1st game of the DH. Add another insurance one on another Solo Homer off of Brooklyn Compau in the 6th inning. Defense made a clutch out at home plate on the 2nd out of the 5th inning to keep that one to a 1-0 lead. 2 hits in the 2nd game off there best pitcher on the team. Lost 2 games to a 2 really good opponents at the Grand Blanc Invitational last week. 3-run homer in the 2nd game & get a 4-2 win over there rivals. They beat them last season 1-0 in the 1st one & 3-2 in the 2nd one at Millington HS. Ashley is a good pitcher & hitter for Head Coach Greg Hudie. Going to Northwood University in Midland, MI next season. Play with 2021 USA HS Graduated Brynn Polega in the next 3 years. Both of them beat the Essexville-Garber Dukes on the schedule in 2022. Assistant Coach for Frankenmuth said to me they are way better then Essexville-Garber is overall. He is right about that one. Frankenmuth has a nice team like always. Brad Walraven is a good Softball Head Coach. Got Brooklyn on the team now as there No. 1 Pitcher on the squad. Little too much Millington in that one on Wednesday Night………
