Sandusky Redskins ⚾ Team swept the DH against the Brown City Green Devils on Thursday Night at Albrecht Field in Sandusky. Win 9-1 in the 1st game & 7-2 in the 2nd game. James Minard replace Ryan Pritchett as Head Coach for this position. Ryan kept that one in excellent shape for James to keep that trend going for more.

James Minard Coach those guys since they played Little League, Babe Ruth, JV, & now Varsity. Followed them around nicely. Did a fabulous job with that unit all 2022 season long. Remember seeing him Coach the 14U squad in 2018 & 2019. Good ⚾ Knowledge to his players on the team. Seeing them succeed on Varsity already now in progress. JV Coach in 2021 & won 19 games with the 2023 & 2024 Class. 19-3-1 overall record.

Barry Ziehm is proud of James Minard has done as a Player & Coach for this squad & program. Played on the 1993 Class C District Championship Team as a Sophomore & 1994 squad was a Special Group of Players. Shared the TCC Conference ⚾ Title with the Mayville Wildcats & Reese Rockets. Back 2 Back Class C District Championship Title at home. Beat the Reese Rockets in the Class C Regional Semifinal Game in Marlette. Remember the Jamie Franzel catch in CF. Best catch Barry Ziehm ever saw in his Coaching Career in Sandusky. Brent Lynch nailed that one off of Jason Krause. Jamie had a perfect jump on that ball & made a play on that one.

James Son Caleb plays CF on Varsity right now. Made a nice catch against the Brown City Green Devils on Thursday at Albrecht Field in Sandusky. Good Athlete also too in the Class of 2023. One year left to play still. Good mixed of Veterans & Youth on Varsity right now in Sandusky.

Good 2022 Leaders with Martin Tovar, Josh Smith, Robbie Eschenburg, & Ashton Phillips right now in progress for the Sandusky Redskins ⚾ Team. They played on Varsity a year ago. Doing a good job leading the way for this unit all season long. Last day of school on Friday. Going to Graduate on May 22nd at Sandusky HS. Good core to lead the way for the young ones to follow that suit up.

Last time they won a GTCE Division ⚾ Championship Title was in 2001 with Aaron Thomson & Company. Good bunch of them played together as a unit. 21 years now they got a GTCE Division ⚾ Championship 🏆 going to the Sandusky HS Hallway in 2022. Share of that one now. Need one more win to be Outright GTCE Division Champions. Take on the Ubly Bearcats on Monday Night at Albrecht Field in Sandusky.

Sandusky Redskins ⚾ has had a lot of good players in the past years. Seeing a better result once again now. Matt Gleason had a lot of good talent in the 1960’s & Barry Ziehm had a lot of good ones too. Ryan Pritchett started that trend up again. James Minard is keeping the foot on the gas for more years to come back now.

Mike Stoliker is doing a good job as Assistant Coach for this squad. Played on a good 1998 Sandusky Redskins ⚾ Team with Head Coach Barry Ziehm. Good Catcher on that unit. Seeing the development of Josh Smith at that position now. Threw out a couple of base runners for Brown City on Thursday Night. Craig Phillips didn’t play on Varsity. Remembers the 1994 Squad for Sandusky. Special bunch of players he remembers in his Senior Year in Sandusky. Bringing that intensity now for the players on Varsity. Love to play this game of ⚾.
