Garrett Hill was solid thru 5 1/3 innings for the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team on the mound in Game 2 of the DH on Thursday Night in Oakland. 6th inning was a struggle in that one for Garrett Hill. Oakland Athletics scored 5 runs in the 6th inning. Bounce back nicely from his disappointing performance against the Chicago White Sox on July 9th at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago. No runs support in that contest for Garrett Hill in that Game 2. Took a split over the Oakland A’s on Thursday Night. Won the 1st game 7-2 & lose the 2nd game 5-0. Got the called up from the Toledo Mud Hens a few weeks ago. 26th Rd Draft Pick in the 2018 MLB Draft to this organization. Played his College Baseball for the San Diego State Aztecs in 2015-18. Been impressive with his development on the mound & learn a lot of stuff after his playing days at San Diego State Aztecs in the WAC Conference. Figuring that one out nicely now in the MLB. Always remember his 1st career win on 4th of July at Comerica Park in Detroit in the 1st game of the DH against Cleveland Guardians. His family & friends where on hand for that contest in his debut. Did a heck of a job in that one too. Manager AJ Hinch is proud of what Garrett Hill has done so far so good.
