Natalie Heim took over for Len Perkins as Head Coach for the 2023 Algonac Muskrats Softball Team this off-season. She has done a remarkable job with that unit all season long. Players have bought into her system very well. Len had a remarkable career as a HS Softball Head Coach for the Anchor Bay Tars for 46 years. 3 years for the Algonac Muskrats. Kept that one in excellent shape for Natalie Heim to keep that system going for more to come yet now still. Lost 4 players off the squad to Graduation a year ago. Going to lose another 4 more in 2023. She is the right person to have in the program. Lots of good talent on display. Went to the Division 3 Semifinals a year ago at MSU in East Lansing. Lose to the Millington Cardinals 4-3. Won the Division 3 District & Regional & Quarterfinals in 2022. Won the 2023 BWAC Conferennce Softball Title. Sweep the DH against the North Branch Broncos at North Branch HS. Sweep the DH to the Richmond Blue Devils on a cold night at Richmond HS. One prize is done in the regular season. They want more to play for yet still to come for this unit. Job isn’t done yet. I was impressed with this bunch all season long in Algonac. Natalie has a good personality & other ideas as well too. Good mindset & have other coaches do there job for the players on the roster. BWAC Conference is loaded indeed. Can’t take days off playing in the BWAC at all. Be ready to play on time. They done that one all season long. Play for another one still to come. Keep that trend going in the next few weeks. Natalie Heim is a good HS Softball Head Coach. Knows her stuff very well. Buy into her system very well. Win with dignity & class. Stay focus on task……..
