Garnett Kohler has done amazing job as Head Coach for the Yale Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team. Lost a lot of talent off the roster to graduation a year ago. Had a lot of good young talent on display stepped up this season. Won the BWAC & Division 2 District Champions in the 2024-25 campaign. Go to the 2025 Division 2 Regional Championship Game against the Pontiac Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish at Yale HS in a 83-68 lost in front of a big crowd on hand for that one. Knows his Basketball very well. Learn that stuff from Tony Burton, Jim Seidell, Doug Muxlow, & other ones in Brown City. Good Basketball People. 2000 Brown City HS Graduated.

Won the GTCE Division Title in the 1997-98 campaign as a Sophomore on Varsity with Arend Elston, Al Kohler, & company. Class C District Champions at Mayville HS. Go to the Class C Regional Championship Game at Bad Axe HS. Lose to the Pontiac Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish. Next season was a Cinderella Run in 1999 in the postseason. Upset the Reese Rockets in the Class C District Semifinal Game at Marlette HS. Back 2 Back Class C District Champions at Marlette HS. Class C Regionals at Sandusky HS. Upset the Harper Woods Pioneers & Greatest Game in School History. Upset the No. 3 & undefeated Goodrich Martians in Sandusky HS. Be Class C Regional Champions in 1999. Lose to the eventual Class C State Champions Detroit St. Martin DePorres Eagles in the Class C Quarterfinals at Schoolcraft Community College in Livonia. Finish the 1998-99 campaign at 18-8 overall record. Special feeling indeed for the Brown City Green Devils Boys Basketball Team in the 1998-99 season.
Assistant Coach for Head Coach Tony Burton with the Brown City Green Devils Boys Basketball Team for 2 years. Won Back 2 Back GTCE Division Champions during that time being as Assistant Coach. Good players on that roster. Justin McPhail in the Class of 2007. Good 2008 core with Donovan Ogboh, Jon Muxlow, Ed Rayba, & other ones too.
Took a Peck Pirates Boys Basketball Head Coaching position. Guided them to win the NCTL Title & Class D District Champions in the 2007-08 campaign. Michael Mann & company. Good players on that roster. Was their for 3 years in Peck. Take a position for the Yale Bulldogs. Good players in the Class of 2011. Chance Smeznik & company. Win the BWAC & Class B District Championship Title in 2011. Go to the Class B Regional Championship Game. Lose to the Flint Powers Catholic Central Chargers. Good 2013, 2014, 2015, & 2016 bunch. Won the BWAC Championship Title for the 3 years. Won 2 Class B District Title in 2015 & 2016. Came back in 2021. Been there since then in the last 5 years.
