Spencer Torkelson has been on a mission as of late. Seeing a good bat. Seeing the Baseball much in 2025 than in 2024 so far. Last 3 games of the 2024 ALDS against the Cleveland Guardians. Seeing the Baseball very well during that time frame. Hitting good pitches & getting good approaches at the plate. No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 MLB Draft by this organization he is on now. Grew up idolizing Barry Bonds while he was a child growing up. Watch him play for the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Broke his HR record for the Arizona State Sun Devils Baseball Team in Tempe. Manager AJ Hinch has high praises about Spencer has done so far for the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team. Made nice strides & adjustments during the course of the off-season. Paid dividends for this Ball Club. Hard work & dedication got him here the 1st place. Good Defensive 1st Baseman on the roster. Nice diving line drive catch on Tuesday Night against the Seattle Mariners in a 4-1 win at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. Took 2 of 3 in that series. Nice series against the 2024 World Series Champions Los Angeles Dodgers. 2 HR’s in the Interleague Series at Dodgers Stadium in L.A. Got swept by the Dodgers as well too. 2-4 on the 2025 campaign. Been strong in the MLB Draft 2018-present. Never satisfied at all. Keep improving right along as much as possible. Good core of talent on display now for the Old English D.
