Michigan Wolverines Football Team has recruited 5 players at the Edge Rushing position in the Class of 2026. Credit D-Line Coach Lou Esposito, DC Don (Wink) Martindale, & Head Coach Sherrone Moore have done a good job recruiting players as of late for the Maize & Blue in Ann Arbor. They have developed Edge Rushers in the past & present years. They are Edge Rushing U in the NFL. Took them to the NFL & succeeded high expectations.
Sherrone Moore kept the Baltimore Ravens style of Defense for more years to come for the Maize & Blue in the last 4 years. Won 48 games in that 4-year span. 3 B1G Conference Championship Titles 2021-23. National Championship Title 2 years ago. School & B1G Conference Record 15 Wins 2 years ago. Beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 4 years in a row. Michigan State Spartans 3 years in a row. 2 straight wins against the Alabama Crimson Tide on New Years Day & New Years Eve in 2024.

All 5 of them saw the Maize & Blue upset the Ohio State Buckeyes on November 30th, 2024 at the Horseshoe in Columbus. 13-10 Michigan win over Ohio State on Thanksgiving Weekend. Not an easy place to play at all in Columbus. Follow that one with another upset win over the Alabama Crimson Tide on New Years Eve at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. 19-13 upset win over QB Jalen Milroe & company. Win out the last 3 games of the season.
The players like playing the Baltimore Ravens style of Defense in Ann Arbor. Been working for them during that time being. Won 48 games in that 4-year span. Defense came on strong in the last 3 games of the 2024 season. Allowed 29 points all together in that 3-game span. Northwestern Wildcats, Ohio State Buckeyes, & Alabama Crimson Tide. Defense average over 9.6 points a game in the last 3 games of the 2024 campaign. They went 8-5 on the campaign.
