Baker guided the Boomer Sooners to 3 straight Big 12 Conference 🏈 Titles in a row. Played 2 years for Head Coach Bob Stoops & one year with Lincoln Riley in Norman.
On September 9th, 2017. Travel down to the Horseshoe in Columbus. Take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on primetime. Saturday Night 🏈 on ABC. No one had them beating the Buckeyes in that contest. Took care of business in that contest. Get out of Columbus with a 34-17 win. Not an easy place to play at all in College 🏈 & also in the B1G Conference. Proved all of the College 🏈 experts wrong about that one too. Baker planted the Ohio State Buckeyes logo at the 50 yard line after the game was over. Send a good statement for everyone else too. Amazing feeling indeed for the Boomer Sooners in this game on the road. Big road win for 1st year Head Coach Lincoln Riley & company.
New Years Day the 104th 🌹 Bowl Game in Pasadena, CA. Took on a good Georgia Bulldogs Defense in the College 🏈 Playoff Semifinal Game. Lose in 2OT. Ended Baker Mayfield amazing 3 years in Norman. 2017 Heisman 🏆 Winner.
Got drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the 1st Rd of the 2018 NFL Draft. Took the Browns to the 2020 AFC Wild Card Playoff Game on January 10th, 2021. Beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night 🏈 on NBC. Went to Pittsburgh & took care of business in that contest too.
Threw the GW TD pass to Rookie WR Donovan Peoples-Jones against the Cincinnati Bengals in Cincy in 2020. Former Michigan Wolverines 🏈 Player. Baker threw it to DPJ in that contest. I remember watching that one over & over again.
Got traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Made Tampa his home. Made a good impact for this Bucs Offense in the last 2 years. Went to the 2023 & 2024 NFC Wild Card Playoff Game at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. Beat the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023 & lose to the Washington Commanders in 2024 on Sunday Night 🏈 on NBC.
Got some really good playmakers in this system. Mike Evans, Emeka Egbuka, & company. Bucs Offense is the real deal. Head Coach Todd Bowles is glad to have him there anyways.
