Mark Dantonio Is Retiring As Head Coach Of The Michigan State Spartans Football Team & Program.

Mark Dantonio retired as Head Coach of the Michigan State Spartans Football Team & Program on Tuesday. Had a good 13 years as Head Coach of the Green & White. All-time winningest Head Coach in School History. Nick Saban & Jim Tressel mentor Mark Dantonio to become a good Head Coach in College Football at Cincinnati & Michigan State. Best squad Mark had was in 2013 they went 13-1 overall record. Undefeated in B1G Conference Play. Won the 100th Rose Bowl on New Years Day against the Stanford Cardinal in Pasadena, CA 24-20. Mark was a Defensive Minded Coach in College Football. No. 1 Overall Defense in the nation in 2013. Beat Urban Meyer twice in 2013 & 2015. Never beaten Nick Saban & Jim Tressel at all. Also beat Jim Harbaugh twice at The Big House in Ann Arbor in 2015 & 2017. Both of them where by 4 points apiece. Including the one on the last play of the game it was a fluke play indeed in 2015. Won a lot of games with no talent on the team. Made them special players instead. Took them to the College Football Playoff Game on New Year’s Eve against the Alabama Crimson Tide at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. Got shutout by Alabama 38-0. Alabama went on to be National Champions in 2015 in the College Football Playoff. Been a fun ride indeed. Going to missed for good. Mark will bring back good memories as well too for the Michigan State Spartans Football Team & Program in the past years. Enjoy his retirement for now on. Last 3 of 4 years have been a struggle for the Michigan State Spartans Football Team. Won 2 of 3 Bowl Game Appearances. Including his last game as a Michigan State Spartans Head Coach on December 28th, 2019 against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankees Stadium in Bronx, New York. That is why, you end your brilliant Head Coaching with a W in that Pinstripe Bowl Game.
