Kerry Coombs is coming back to the Coaching Staff with the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team on his 2nd stint with Head Coach Ryan Day in Columbus. Did very well on his 1st stint with Head Coach Urban Meyer in 2012-17. Defensive Backs Coach. Did very well with them. Recruited very well & developed them too. Took a lot of them to the NFL Draft. See quite of them do very well in the NFL. Brings in good excitement & enthusiasm to the Scarlet & Gray. On his 2nd stint he will be Co-Defensive Coordinator with Greg Mattison in 2020. Jeff Hafley took as Head Coach of the Boston College Eagles Football Team in Chestnut Hills, MA. Top 5 Defensive Team a year ago in Columbus. Greg Mattison & Kerry Coombs are good Defensive Recruiters in College Football. Ryan Day is glad to have a good one there once again in 2020. Kerry did a good job as Defensive Coordinator for the Tennessee Titans this past year. Went to the AFC Conference Championship Game as a 6th Seed win 2 road playoff games. Help out Mike Vrabel in the last 2 years as Defensive Coordinator in the NFL in Nashville. Now coming back to Ohio State once again. Kerry Coombs is from Ohio.
