Claire Woodke carried the Harbor Beach Pirates Girls Basketball Team to a victory against the Brown City Green Devils on Thursday Night at Brown City HS. Claire had 18 points in the victory for Head Coach Jim Tamlyn in this contest. Played on Varsity for 3 years already. Taking over the Senior Leadership Department in the 2019-20 campaign. Learning that from his Sister Mae 2 years ago & Jessica Weber & Megan Pawlowski a year ago. Doing very well in that Senior Leadership Department in the 2019-20 campaign already now. Leandra Wolschleger had 10 points for the Harbor Beach Pirates in the victory as well too. Doing very well as a Junior for Head Coach Jim Tamlyn. Turnovers have been a problem all season for Harbor Beach. They overcome that one. Can’t win games turning the Basketball Over. They got away from that one against the Brown City Green Devils on the road. Still score 45 points in this contest. Held Brown City to 27 points on Defense. They got a tough opponent coming up against the Sandusky Redskins on Tuesday Night at Sandusky HS. Tough place to play as well too. Best HS Gym around the State of Michigan too. They had there share of problems in Sandusky Gym in the past years. Sandusky handled Harbor Beach very nicely at Harbor Beach Gym the 1st time around. Jim knows that stat very well too. Celebrated this win for a couple of days get ready to go against the Sandusky Redskins on Tuesday Night on the road.
