Cros-Lex Pioneers got a nice victory at home against the Imlay City Spartans in BWAC Conference Play on Friday Night on Valentine’s Day Night at Cros-Lex HS 69-34. It was a good total team effort in this one for 3rd Year Head Coach Lance Campbell in this contest. Still got more work to do yet for this Cros-Lex squad going forward to the next one. I was expected the Cros-Lex Pioneers to be the team to beat in the BWAC Conference in the 2019-20. Sportswriters & Experts & Coaches in the BWAC Conference pick the Cros-Lex Pioneers to be the team to beat going into this season. They are proving that one already now. 14-1 on the regular season & 10-0 in BWAC Conference Play. 5 games to go yet for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Boys Basketball Team. Richmond, Armada, Bad Axe, North Branch on the road to play yet. Algonac at home next week. One of the 5 best young squads they had in School History. It is looking like that one now. Which is led by Head Coach Lance Campbell & 2 Juniors Hunter Soper & Tyler Johnson. Both of them played a lot of Basketball over the years & been on Varsity for 3 years now. They are the 2 best players in the BWAC Conference already now. They are good team players & help the other ones be better also too. Trust there stuff at all-times. Help them along the way. They didn’t play a lot at all in this one against the Imlay City Spartans Game. They where out there supporting there teammates on the court to get the job done right. They did a good job in this one. Good students in the classroom, in sports, & in practices & games. Dedicated all-around guys. So is the other 13 players on the team as well too. Unselfish bunch of good team players on this Basketball Team. Playing there roles & doing it the right way. Only lost was to Flint Southwestern at SC4 in Port Huron on December 28th, 2019 53-50. Came back nicely after that one. Players buy into that system. Beat 4 good teams in Non-League Play against the Marysville Vikings, St. Clair Saints, Port Huron Northern Huskies, & Grosse Pointe South. They beat the Richmond Blue Devils at home also too. Defending BWAC Conference Champions Back 2 Back Years. Richmond lost there Guards to Graduation a year ago. Still a good team yet. Been a fun ride indeed. Big one for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Boys Basketball on the road at Richmond HS on Wednesday Night. Fun team to watch & they do in dignity & class. Go about there business & go do the job done right. Showing me good impression already in the 2019-20 season for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Boys Basketball Team. Been a pleasure to cover his games once again.
