Can the Millington Cardinals Softball Team make a run at the Division 3 State Tournament in 2021. We will see about that one too. Head Coach Greg Hudie has done a good job with that squad & program during his tenure there at Millington. Build that one to a State Powerhouse already now. Went to 2 State Finals Appearances in 2018 & 2019. State Runner-Up Finish in 2018 & State Champions in 2019. 2021 is a young squad with a lot of talent on this unit now. 30-0 in the Regular Season in 2021. Beat the USA Patriots 2-1 in 9 innings on the road. Beat 2 teams from up North Escanaba & Gladstone. Both of them are State Powerhouses as well too. They haven’t play any cupcakes teams on there schedule in 2021. Saw them beat the Frankenmuth Eagles in both games on May 14th at Millington HS. 1-0 in Game 1 & 3-2 in Game 2. Frankenmuth has a good team as well too. Greg Hudie didn’t play any cupcakes on there schedule at all in 2021. Gotta play the best of the best no matter what. Did very well with the best of the best once again in 2021. No. 1 Team in the State of Michigan in Division 3 Softball right now in 2021. Nice core of them young players on this squad now in Millington. Stacked bunch for sure. Impressive squad to watch & cover them too. Other sportswriters & myself are impressed with the 2021 Millington Cardinals Softball Team. Good Pitching & Hitting. Greg was a 2001 Mayville HS Graduated. Played Baseball on Varsity for the Mayville Wildcats for Head Coach Curt Henderson in his days there at the helm. Knows a lot about Softball out there now. Seeing that one on display.
