Isaiah Gainforth done a good job as Head Coach for the USA Patriots Softball Team & Program in his 4 years as Head Coach. Took over for Steve Bohn in 2017. Won 4 GTCW Division Titles, 4 Districts, 4 Regionals, 3 Quarterfinals, 2 Semifinals Wins, & 2 State Championships during his tenure there. Knows his Softball very well. Played that Sport as well too. Good understanding of that Sport. His Wife Sarah played on his 1st State Title in 2006. She was a good Pitcher during that time being. Got 2 Kids right now. Played on the 1998 Class C State Championship Title in Football for Head Coach Tim Travis as a Sophomore when he got called up to play on Varsity Football in the Class C Playoff Run. Good 3-Sport Athlete in the Class of 2001 at USA HS. Football, Basketball, & Baseball Standout. Good Friends with Kevin Vermeersch in the Class of 2000 at USA HS. He was a 3-Sport Standout in Football, Basketball, & Baseball. Got Scott Williamson & Steve Bohn help out the Softball Team & Program right now. 7th State Championship Title they won in School & Program on Saturday at MSU in East Lansing against the Rudyard Bulldogs in a 14-1 win. Lary Houthoofd Won 3 State Titles in 2006, 2007, & 2009. Steve Bohn Won 2 State Titles in 2015 & 2016. Isaiah Gainforth Won 2 State Titles in 2019 & 2021. Kept the Tradition for more now at USA. Also remembers Jamie (Stahl) Nicol pitching in High School for the 2000 USA Patriots Softball Team. Lose in the Division 3 Semifinals to the Lansing Catholic Cougars at Bailey Park in Battle Creek. 2000 USA HS Graduated. Brynn Polega going to play College Softball at Northwood University in Midland, MI next season. She had a solid day on the mound & broke the MHSAA State Championship Game Record for most Strikeouts in a game with 19 of them & also had a good day hitting too in a 14-1 victory. Also was her last game in a USA Patriots Uniform on Saturday. Played a tough schedule in the regular season away from the GTC. Help them out nicely. Easy Districts & Regionals at home. Beat Allen Park Cabrini 9-1 in the Quarterfinals at SC4 in Marysville. Beat Bridgmen in the Semifinals 9-2 on Friday. Allowed 4 Runs in the State Tournament in 2021. Unreal indeed. Scored Runs in bunches on the scoreboard all season long. Congratulations On A Good 2021 Campaign. GTCW Division Champions, Districts, Regionals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals, & State Titles. Finish the season with a 35 game winning streak & 40-3 overall record. Well Accomplish By The Team All Season Long. Be Proud Of That One Too.
