Jaxon Smith-Nijgba broke the Rose Bowl Game Record for the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team at WR in the 108th addition of this one on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, CA. 15 receptions, 374 receiving yards, & 3 TD receptions in a 48-45 comeback victory over the Utah Utes. Broke USC Trojans WR Keyshawn Johnson’s record for most receiving yards in a game. He set that one aganist the Northwestern Wildcats in 1996. Got a victory also too. Could’ve had 400 receiving yards & his 4th TD reception in the 2nd Quarter he fumbled by the Goal Line going for his 3rd TD reception in the 2nd Quarter. Didn’t have Chris Olave & Garrett Wilson in that game for Head Coach Ryan Day & WR’s Coach Brian Hartline. Both of them get credit on that one. Having the trust & confidence in Jaxon’s abilities at WR for the Scarlet & Gray. Had a good 2021 campaign at WR. Best WR Trio in the nation this season. Be a difference maker for this unit. Look out for him in 2022 in Columbus. Be one of the best ones in the B1G Conference & also in the nation. Impressive performance indeed.
