Frank Beckmann Passed Away On Saturday At The Age Of 72 Years Old.

 

Frank Beckmann passed away at the age of 72 years old on Saturday. Legendary Michigan Wolverines Football & Detroit Tigers Baseball Radio Announcer in the past years. So many memories of him in the past years in Ann Arbor & Detroit. Jim Brandstatter retired as a Radio Announcer this past season for the Maize & Blue & also for the Detroit Lions. Jim Brandstatter & Dan Dierdorf did there last home game as Radio Announcer together on November 27th, 2021 at The Big House in Ann Arbor. Saw Hassan Haskins score 5 TD runs against the Ohio State Buckeyes in a 42-27 upset victory in front of your home crowd. Storm onto the field also too. Be 2021 B1G Conference Champions. Get a victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes on December 4th at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis 42-3. Play in the College Football Playoff Semifinal Game on New Years Eve & lose to the Georgia Bulldogs at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL 34-11.

 

Frank Beckmann’s favorite moments where as a Radio Announcer for the Maize & Blue. Chad Henne hit Mario Manningham for the GW TD when time expired in 2005 against the Penn State Nittany Lions at home 27-25 upset win. 2011 Denard Robinson hit Roy Roundtree for the GW TD also too on there 1st night home game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 34-31 in Brady Hoke’s 1st season as Head Coach in Ann Arbor.

 

 

Those guys remember Frank Beckmann in the past years for the Maize & Blue at The Big House in Ann Arbor. They where Bo Schemebechler, Gary Moeller, Lloyd Carr, Rich Rodriguez, Brady Hoke, & Jim Harbaugh fans in the past & present years. They will remember Frank Beckmann forever now.
