Head Coach Kyle Theisen had a nice core of players on the roster for the Midland Dow Chargers Girls Basketball Team in the 2021-22 campaign. Finish the season at 23-2 overall record. Lose to the Frankenmuth Eagles 63-60 in OT on the road at Frankenmuth HS in the regular season. Season ended on Tuesday Night against the Hartland Eagles in the Division 1 Quarterfinals at Lapeer HS 55-51 lost in OT. Lose there 1000 career scorer Abby Bey to Graduation. Other ones too. Good Sophomore Class in play now. Played A Tough Conference Schedule. Beat Hartland a year ago in the Division 1 Quarterfinals. This time it was there turn to take that one instead. Expected a good game & I was glad to be there for that one. Evenly match teams. Good talent on both squads. Midland Dow didn’t make Free Throws to closed the game out in the Quarterfinal Game on Tuesday Night. Hartland did that is why, there heading to the Division 1 Semifinals on Friday at the Breslin Center in East Lansing. Hartland is a good team. Got outrebounded in that contest. Proved to be the difference in that game. Had the lead for most of the contest. Didn’t finish the game you wanted to the most. Tip my hat off to Hartland wanted that one more then Midland Dow did. Didn’t execute the plays you wanted to do the most. Hartland made good adjustments at halftime. 2 23-1 teams in this matchup…….

Abby Rey had a good career for the Midland Dow Chargers Girls Basketball Team & Program. 5-10 plays the Guard & Forward Position for Head Coach Kyle Theisen…… Scored her 1000 career points in her amazing career in HS. She is going to play College Basketball next season. Gonig to Graduated in 2 more months from now at Midland Dow HS. Made things interesting for this unit all season long. Went to the Division 1 Semifinals a year ago as a Junior. Beat Hartland a year ago in the Division 1 Quarterfinals. Career ended on Tuesday Night against the same squad you beat a year ago at this same position. Went undefeated in Saginaw Valley Conference Play this season. Showing good impression in Basketball. Lose in OT at Lapeer HS. Bring back memories in the upcoming years ahead of her now. Kyle will miss having Abby on the squad for good. Think of those things she did in the program in her career.
