2022-23 Detroit Red Wings 🏒 Team starts the regular season on Friday Night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Take on the Montreal Canadians in the NHL opener in front of your home crowd. Also Derek Lalonde debut as Head Coach for this squad. Got hired in July of 2022. Replace Jeff Blashill position. Jeff now the Assistant Coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning 🏒 Team for Head Coach Jon Cooper. Derek was the Assistant Coach for that organization for a while. Be on the Back 2 Back Stanley Cup Champions in 2020 & 2021. Fell short of 3-Peated as Stanley Cup Champions against the Colorado Avalanche at home in Game 6. Steve Yzerman hired Jon Cooper as Head Coach in Tampa Bay & now getting Derek Lalonde to Detroit. Traded Places to get Derek Lalonde for Jeff Blashill.  Steve Yzerman has done a good job with NHL Draft Picks, free agent pickups, & trades in the last 3 years in Detroit. Choose Dylan Larkin as Captain for this squad a year ago. Good season overall. Good NHL Rookie Duo with Defenseman Moritz Seider from Germany & Forward Lucas Raymond from Sweden a year ago. Top 5 NHL Rookies a year ago. Good Young Talented Big Forward In 6-8 Elmer Soberblom From Sweden. 21 years old right now. Tough Individual Guy Overall. Showing good signs already now in progress. Credit to Steve Yzerman on a job well done with that organization. Building that one up nicely now in Detroit. 🏒 Is In Action Now In Detroit. NHL Opener At Little Caesars Arena On Friday Night On Belly Sports Detroit. I got them over .500 record & be in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs & also be one of the 5 most improved squads this NHL season….. Taking good steps forward now…… Good sign we like from Steve Yzerman.
