Dave Compau is one of the best DC’s in the State of Michigan. Played on John Blankenship’s best team in 1995 for the Frankenmuth Eagles Football Team. That squad was loaded from top to bottom. Very well coach. Discipline team. Good bunch of talent in the Class of 1996. Working with Phil Martin ever since. Be around with the best of them. Jamie Tackabury was on the 1997 Class B Semifinal Team for Head Coach John Blankenship. On the 11-1 squad. Lose to Riverview in the Semifinal Game at Flint Atwood Stadium in Flint. He thinks the 1997 squad was better than the 1995 squad. I disagree with Jamie. 1995 squad was better than the 1997 squad. Jamie saw the 1995 squad play in his Freshman year in HS. Beat the Montrose Rams in the Class B Regional Championship Game on snowing cold afternoon game at Frankenmuth HS. Get a win on snow bowl game. Went to 2 State Championship Game appearances in 2020 & 2022. Be Division 5 State Runner-Up Finishers both teams. John Blankenship & Phil Martin are smart Football people. Lose to the Goodrich Martians in the opener at The Big House in Ann Arbor. Got revenge from the lost to the Gladwin Flying GS in Week 9 of the season. Get a 38-0 win at Gladwin HS. Lose 10-7 on November 26th, 2022 at Ford Field in Detroit in the Division 5 State Championship Game. Season was over on Saturday in the Division 5 Semifinal Game against the Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougars at Ithaca HS 35-0. Finish the 2023 campaign at 11-2 overall record. Collected 3 hardwares in 2023. Phil is a Frankenmuth Eagles Football Legendary Head Coach. Great season overall……
