Bob DeLong has been the Assistant Coach for the Gaylord St. Mary’s Snowbirds Baseball Team for a while now. 1975 Sandusky HS Graduated. Played on Barry Ziehm’s best Baseball Team for the Sandusky Redskins. Best pitcher in School History in Jim Loding. Bob played on CF. Won the Thumb B, Class C District, Regionals, Quarterfinals, & lose 1-0 to the Bronson Vikings in the Class C Semifinal Game. Good core of talent on that 1975 team. Duane Jerome, Brian Krueger, & other ones too. Reunited with Al DeMott last week. Bob watch Al play in HS for the Sandusky Redskins Boys Basketball Team. Best player he has ever saw. Great guy also too. Al graduated in 1973 at Sandusky HS. Jim Hale, Dan Guibord, Randy Mitchell, Dale Chambers, & company. Dave Blank the best all-around athlete Sandusky HS ever had. Played in the old gym in town. Dave was good also too. Graduated in 1964 at Sandusky HS. Really good 1963-64 Boys Basketball Team. Jack Doerr, Roger Weber, Doug Gorringe, Dave Albrecht, & company. Dave was a very nice guy also too. Bob likes the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team. Doing better what we expected them to be. 18-13 on the 2024 campaign. Won 4 straight series in a row. Michigan Wolverines Sports Fan. Saw the Football Team be National Champions on January 8th, 2024 at NRG Stadium in Houston. Beat the Washington Huskies 34-13. Bob is doing good for himself now.
