Al DeMott is doing a good job with the 2024-25 Sandusky Wolves Girls Basketball Team. Losing 11 players off the roster to graduation in the last 3 years. Go 71-7 in the last 3 years. Won 3 straight GTCE Division Titles in the regular season. 3 straight Division 3 District Titles in a row. Back 2 Back Division 3 Regional Titles in a row. Back 2 Back Division 3 Quarterfinalist.
Strong bunch in the Class of 2022. Graduated 5 players in that bunch.
Strong bunch in the Class of 2023. Graduated 3 in that bunch.
Strong bunch in the Class of 2024. Graduated another 3 more in that bunch.
Good 2025 bunch already now in progress. Grace Guibord lead the way for the Sandusky Wolves Girls Basketball Team. She has played 3 years on Varsity. 25-2 a year ago. Packed that place up on March 19th, 2024 at SC4 Fieldhouse in Port Huron in the Division 3 Quarterfinals against the Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest Crusaders. Lose 38-16. Worst loss in that 3-year span.
Off too a good start right now. 3-0 on the season. Seen them beat the Caro Tigers & Reese Rockets in the last 2 weeks. Got a 48-20 win over the Vassar Vulcans on Thursday Night at Vassar HS…..
19 regular season games to go yet still to come. Job ain’t done yet. Keep putting the foot on the gas pedal as much as possible. Don’t count out Al DeMott anytime yet. Amazing 45 years as Head Coach in Sandusky. Al has done amazing job as Head Coach during that time being. 69 years old. Lot left yet in the tank. He is Legend for sure.
Return 3 starters off the 25-2 squad a year ago. Maggy Keinath, Grace Guibord, & Caroline Reinke. Lily Betts replacing Adalee Kaufman’s position. Emma Minard replacing Helena Long’s position. Both of them are doing a good job filling in right away. Both seniors this season at Sandusky HS. Didn’t have a lot of depth on the roster in the last 2 years. Little depth this season instead. Give the team a good lift during the course of the season rolls along. Trust Al DeMott at this position he is in now.
Good Coaching Staff on task. Brandon Guibord, Ray Lee, Keegan Lasecki, & Ally Guibord at the helm. Good core on hand now. Unfinished business to handle yet still to come. Get things organized & things to improve on during the course of the year. Al will have them their at the end of the season……..
