Dave Hayden phenomenal run for the Division 4 State Tournament run with the 2024 Marlette Red Raiders Baseball Team. Won the Division 4 District & Regional Titles. 2 hardwares they collected in 2024. Upset the Ubly Bearcats in the Regional Championship Game on Saturday at Plymouth Christian Academy HS 3-2. 2nd Regional Championship Title in School History. They were going to be a better 2024 squad then they were in 2023. Lot of players came back from that 2023 squad. Learn a lot about themselves in 2024 then in 2023. Took their games to another level. Go over the .500 mark once again. Good group of fine individuals on the roster.
Going to be missed the most is Aaron Bower. Phenomenal 4 years for the Marlette Red Raiders Baseball Team. Set the MHSAA Baseball Record for the highest batting average a year ago. Mr. Reliable person to have on the team. He can pitch, catch, hit, & play any position for Head Coach Dave Hayden. Good leader to have on the roster. Even a better person away from sports. Did special things to this program. Younger kids can look up to Aaron Bower in the future years ahead. Graduated already in the Class of 2024 at Marlette HS. Went to the Division 4 Semifinals at MSU in East Lansing. Lose to Kalamazoo Hackett in 2021. Aaron was a Freshman that season. Love playing with the older guys on the roster. Help him succeed in the last 2 years. Impressive stuff indeed……
Good young players on the team. Wesley Chapin is one of them. Good Sophomore campaign for Dave Hayden a year ago. Mr. Reliable guy as well too. Good CF on the Ball Club. Really good speed. Bunt, Hit, & Run very well. Good Baseball Tools he brings to the table. Like watching him compete. Like his style on the Baseball Diamond. He is a Lefty. Going to be a Senior coming up this fall at Marlette HS in the Class of 2025. Good Athlete & Person……

Almost hit a HR in the District Championship Game at home against the Kingston Cardinals. Get a 17-5 win 11 days ago. Pitch a CG against Kingston for 6 innings of work. He’ll be a Junior this coming fall at Marlette HS in the Class of 2026.
Owen Anderson is a nice player as well too. See develop more as a Catcher in the upcoming years ahead. Progress very well when the season rolled along. Saw some good impressions in the Districts against the Peck Pirates & Kingston Cardinals at home. Phenomenal against the Ubly Bearcats on Saturday in Plymouth. Delivered in the clutch time moments for Dave Hayden. Get a 3-2 upset win over the GTCE Division Champions. He’ll be a Sophomore this coming fall at Marlette HS in the Class of 2027……
Aidan Liccardello shown me good impression in the Division 4 Districts against Peck & Kingston at home. Made things interesting for himself & Dave Hayden. Bats: Left-Handed & Throws: Right-Handed. He is a speedster & athlete on the Baseball Team. Batted in the 8th spot in both games. He’ll be a Sophomore this coming fall at Marlette HS in the Class of 2027. Competitor for this unit.
