Joey Noll is going to replace Joey Johnston at QB for the 2019 Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team for Head Coach Garrett Grundman. Played on the JV squad that went 8-0-1 a year ago. Joey is a good athlete in the 2021 Class. Got to watch him scrimmage against the Port Huron Northern Huskies Football Team on Thursday Night at C-L HS. Throw a few TD passes in that scrimmage. They didn’t have Braiden McGregor in that one. They want save Braiden McGregor for the regular season at DE for the Port Huron Northern Huskies Football Team coming up next week. Joey Johnston move on to play College Baseball at Northwood University in Midland, MI. Joey Noll is a good all-around athlete. Plays Basketball Also Too. Played on the undefeated JV squad as well too. His Dad is the assistant coach on the JV Basketball Team for C-L Pioneers Boys Team. They don’t have a easy game at home in the opener against the St. Clair Saints next week at C-L HS. But, they got tough BWAC Conference Schedule in 2019. Almont on the road. Defending BWAC Conference Champions. Went 10-1 overall record. Richmond at home & they have own them 7 straight times they met. North Branch Broncos is going to be a easy one as well too. Very well coached team by Jeremy Ferman. They beat them in the 1st Rd of the Division Playoffs at North Branch HS 44-41. They lost to the St. Clair Saints in the Division 4 District Championship Game 62-29 at East China Stadium in East China Township. Joey Noll is going to be ready for the challenge at QB in 2019. Not scared to play with the best of them period.
