Bill McLellan Jr has done a remarkable job as EPB Lakers Boys Basketball Head Coach in 2021. Took over for Eric Wissner in the off-season. There 7-2 on the season now. Lose 2 games to Reese & Bad Axe on the schedule. GTCW Division is a loaded side indeed. Just like always was in the past years. 1990 Lakers HS Graduated. His Dad Bill McLellan Sr was a Legendary Football, Basketball, & Baseball Head Coach in his days there at Lakers HS. Took the 1979 EPB Lakers Boys Basketball Team to the Class C State Finals & lose in the Class C State Championship Game in 1979. Guide the 1981 EPB Lakers Football Team to a Class C State Championship Title. 1982 EPB Lakers Football Team was better then the 1981 one instead. Bill went to Owen-Gage & North Huron as Boys Basketball Head Coach in the NCTL in the past years & had good success at both stops. Now at his home town in EPB Lakers once again. Good Basketball Mindset just like his Dad had in the past years. Knows his stuff very well. Has a good idea on a variety of ways about Coaching the Game of Basketball the right way. Players have bought into that system very well. Played much harder then they did with Eric Wissner. Eric went to School with Bill Jr for 2 years in HS. Played for his Dad in all 3 sports at Lakers HS in Football, Basketball, & Baseball. Bill is much more calmer then Eric Wissner was overall. Seeing better results already now then they did before. Going to be a good team next season & next following year after that one too. Showing me good impression already now. Keep it up & good things come into play once again.
