Hubert Davis replaced Roy Williams as Head Coach for the North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball Team & Program in Chapel Hill. Played for Head Coach Dean Smith in 1988-92 in his days in a Tar Heel Uniform. Players got comfortable when the season rolled along. Got a road victory over the Duke Blue Devils 3 weeks ago at Camron Indoor Stadium in Durham. Won 2 ACC Tournament Games & lose to the Virginia Tech Hokies 2 weeks ago at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York….. 2 nice wins in the NCAA Tournament last week. Including the victory over the Defending National Champions on Saturday Baylor Bears in the 2nd Rd of that event. Going to the Sweet 16 to take on the UCLA Bruins this week. Went to the Final Four in 2021. Lose to the Gonzaga Bulldogs in a Instant Classic Final Four Game on April 3rd, 2021 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Take on a good Tradition in that Sweet 16 Game. Love playing that run & gun game. Score points in bunches & bunches on the scoreboard. Knows the culture very well. Seeing that one on display now in Chapel Hill. Dean Smith & Roy Williams is proud of what he has done already now at UNC. Dean is seeing that one in his great place now. Hubert loves playing for Dean in his days there. Loves the full court press. Michael Jordan is impressed with Hubert Davis is doing now…….. Understand the players very well & build a good relationship with them & go from there on out. Basketball has been his thing while growing up as a child. Got that thing going now in store……..
