Head Coach James Leusby & Almont Raiders got a upset win over the Cros-Lex Pioneers on there Homecoming on Friday Night at Cros-Lex HS. Get a 37-26 upset win. Beat the Defending BWAC Conference Champions on the road. Almont is without there best player Bryce Ferman in this one too. Suffered a ankle injury against the North Branch Broncos 2 weeks ago. Other ones stepped in this contest. Cros-Lex is without there stud RB Belly Groppi out for the rest of the season with a Broken Collar Bone he suffered in the 1st Half of the Armada Tigers Game 3 weeks before this one. They have to rely on QB Gavin Espinoza to carry that Offense. That is not a good thing also too. Showed that one against Almont in the lost. Not good for Head Coach Mike LeGrow & company. Gotta have depth at every position in Football. RB position is not deep at all period for Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team. Caused them that Homecoming Game on Friday Night. James Leusby got them ready to play. Respond very nicely after the North Branch lost at home & Armada Tigers lost on the road the next following week. Big Playoff Points Almont got this week with that win over the Division 4 foes on the road. Cros-Lex spoiled there Homecoming Game last season 41-7 & lost a lot of good talent off the roster a year ago. This time Almont got the best of them & took there turn on that one. Cros-Lex is 5-1 & Almont is 4-2 on the 2022 season.
