Kevin Townsend done a good job as Head Coach for the Freeland Falcons Football Team. Comeback nicely from the lost in Week 9 of the regular season last week at Cros-Lex HS. Get a win over the North Branch Broncos on the road in the 1st Rd of the Division 4 Playoffs at Krepps Field in North Branch HS. Run the Wing-T Offense to perfection in the “W” column. Score 61 points on the scoreboard against a good opponent like the North Branch Broncos at there place. Offensive Line ran the trap plays to perfection. Not a big Offensive Line. Fast & Strong bunch. Traded leads in the 1st Half & early in the 2nd Half. Wing-T vs Wing-T in this one. Graduate a lot of good talent off the roster in the Class of 2022 at Freeland HS. Good young talent on display now. Good Freshman Bunch. Went to the Semifinals Back 2 Back Years in a row. Came 6 inches short of going to Ford Field in Detroit on Thanksgiving Weekend on November 26th, 2021. Lose to the Chelsea Bulldogs 30-27 on November 20th, 2021 in Lapeer. His good friend Tim Wooer from the Kingsley Stags Football Team gave him a good text earlier this week before this game on Friday Night. Jeremy Ferman does a good job with the North Branch Broncos Football Team as Head Coach. Run a good Wing-T Offense. Good recipe of success. Having a good running game at every level of Football you play in or coach out there. Make things happen on both occassions. Force a fumble in the 3rd Quarter & turnover on downs & capitalized on both of them for TD’s. Did a heck of a job on both of them. They respond nicely after the lost to the Cros-Lex Pioneers 41-34 lost on the road. Losses ain’t bad to have out there. Makes you better & learn from that lost & be hungry for the next opponent on the schedule. Off too the Division 4 District Championship Game next week at Goodrich HS. Take on the Goodrich Maritans on there home field. Lost 21-0 to the Frankenmuth Eagles at home earlier this year in Conference Play. 8-2 on the season now. More work to do yet for this roster this coming week in practice. North Branch is a good team…… Run The Football, Play Good Team Defense, Score TD’s, & Good Special Teams Play. That is Football it is at there finest period. Winning Formula & Recipe of success at every level of play you play out there anyways. Make things count.
