Al DeMott has been a super good job as Head Coach for the Sandusky Wolves Girls Basketball Team this season. Tied the MHSAA Record for most wins of his career on January 3rd against the Vassar Vulcans at Vassar HS. Broke the record on January 6th against the USA Patriots at USA HS. Got his 800th career win as a Head Coach against the Ubly Bearcats on January 17th at Ubly HS. Done a heck of a job in his 43 years in that community he grew up & raise in the past years. 67 years old. Making a mark of himself of being a Legendary Head Coach. Class Act Individual Guy. Win with Dignity & Class. Go from there on out. Dedicated at Coaching this sport. Well liked by everyone else in the community we live in now. Does that one in perfection. So many awesome teams & players in his system in the past & present years. Loyal gentlemen to this town we live in. Made lots of friends in Sandusky. 2nd best Boys Basketball Player in School History right behind Dave Blank. Show good support to the administrations of Sandusky Schools. Andrew Atkins, James Nolan, Mark Hund, Mike Phillips, Fred Hicks, Jon Miller, Mike Carmean, Paul Flynn, & Steve Carlson. They done excellent work for support Al DeMott thru out his career. Lose To The Detroit St. Martin DePorres Eagles In The Class C Quarterfinals At Goodrich HS. Best Player Al DeMott Ever Had In His 43 Years As Head Coach In Sandusky. Went On To Play At Toledo. Won 1992 MAC Player Of The Year Award. 3 Sisters Lyne Was The Oldest. Graduated In 1986 At Sandusky HS, Lori Was A 1987 Sandusky HS Graduated, & Lamara Was A 1996 Sandusky HS Graduated. Really Good Friends With Dick & Bev LeGault. Both Of Them Passed Away. Both Of Support There Daughters Playing For The Legendary HS In Sandusky.

1st One: 1999 Class C Quarterfinals Against The Detroit CMA Pharohs At Sandusky HS. My Sister Susie Scored The GW Go-Ahead Layup To Give The 40-39 Lead & Sarah Paape Increase The Lead At 42-39. It Was The Final Score Of That Game. Fans Storm The Court In That Contest. Remarkable Feeling Indeed. Never Forget That One……

2nd One: Class C Regional Semifinal Game On March 10th, 2014 At Sandusky HS. Undefeated Flint Hamady Hawks Came To Town. No. 1 Team In The State In Class C. Sandusky Beat Flint Hamady 46-41. Alyssa Webb Put The Game Out Of Reach On Breakaway Layup. Fans Started To Cheer & Roar & Got Them Fired Up On That One. I Remember That One As Well. Hardest Class C Regional In The State Of Michigan That Season. Saginaw Nouvel Went On To Be Class C State Champions.

His HS Basketball Head Coach Dick Huntington is proud of what he has accomplish thru out his 43 years at the helm. 1st Girls Basketball Head Coach in MHSAA History to get 800 wins ever. Got A 49-25 Win Over The Memphis Yellowjackets On Saturday At Capac HS. That Was His 29th District Title In His 43 Years At The Helm. One Of His 61 Hardwares He Has Collected. Got In The BCAM Hall Of Fame In 2012. Take On The Otisville-Lakeville Falcons In The Division 3 Regional Semifinal Game On Tuesday At Sandusky HS.
