Head Coach Ryan Day saw his Ohio State Buckeyes Defense in 2020 & 2021 was miserable. Won 18 games on the schedule. Loss 2 games to Oregon & Michigan in 2021 allowed 35 & 42 points respectively in both defeats. Decent Defense in 2019 with Chase Young leading the way for the Scarlet & Gray. Won 13 games in 2019. Done a good job as a Head Coach in 2019-present in Columbus. Taking over for the Great Urban Meyer. 7-0 on the season now. Got a 20-12 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday at The Horseshoe in Columbus. Make a good statement for everyone else across the nation. Held Notre Dame to a season low 14 points in the “W” on the road in South Bend. Penn State to 12 points at home. Job isn’t done yet for this unit. Good core of talent on display now. Keep the foot on the gas pedal for the next 4 games on the schedule. Not satisfied at all……..
DC Jim Knowles got hired in 2022 by Head Coach Ryan Day. Fix & improve that Ohio State Buckeyes Defense. Seeing improvements in the last 2 years in Columbus. Saw that Scarlet & Gray Defense get the job done right in a 20-12 win over a good Penn State Offense at home. Held QB Drew Allar, RB duo in Nicholas Singelton & Kaytron Allen for that Nittany Lions Offense in check. Played like a Top 5 Defense in the nation on Saturday in front of a big crowd on hand. Big game for both teams. Ohio State got the job done no matter what. Did a good job making a good statement for everyone else on hand. Not build on that momentum to the next opponent on the schedule. Keep improving as a team.
