Tim Roberts & Jeremy Teddy both Reese Rockets Basketball & Baseball Alums in HS. Played for Head Coach Jeff Casler & Dave Elliott in their HS playing days. Both of them share a good bond with one another on & off the playing field. Jeff & Dave were fortunate enough to have both of them on the roster. Won TCC American Championship Titles in both sports while they were in HS.
Jeremy Teddy played on both League Titles in Basketball & Baseball for the Reese Rockets. 1996 Reese HS Graduated. Won Back 2 Back Class C District Championship Titles in Boys Basketball 1995 & 1996. Went to the Regional Championship Game both years in a row. Lose to the Flint Hamady Hawks in 1995 & EPB Lakers in 1996 at Sandusky HS. Never lost to Marlette Red Raiders in both sports. Beat them in the Class C District Championship Game both years in a row. Reese Police Officer for a while. Now, he is at Frankenmuth Police Department. They beat Joe Jacobs in Boys Basketball in his senior year at Frankenmuth HS in Non-Conference action. Played against Eric Gardy in HS & also in 3 on 3 Basketball action. EPB Lakers had a good team in 1996 with PG Seth Maust & company.
Baseball they were loaded indeed. Good core of talent. 1995 was a good bunch. Brent Lynch on the mound. Good athlete & person. Reliable guy to have in every sport. Won the TCC American Division Titles both years in a row. Lost to the Hemlock Huskies in the Class C Districts in Baseball in 1995. They had a 90 MPH Fastball Pitcher on that Hemlock Huskies Baseball Team in 1995. They had no answer for him in that contest. 1996 won the Class C District Champions. Beat the Mayville Wildcats 2-1 at Reese HS. Those were good battles they went up against Mayville in 1995 & 1996. Chad Brant hit a HR off of Jeremy Teddy. Jeremy didn’t give up another run for the rest of the game. Mayville was loaded indeed. All-Star squad while Jeremy played against. Got upset by the Sandusky Redskins in the Class C Regional Semifinal Game at Bay City All Saints HS. Sandusky had a good end of the year squad. Good bunch of young players on the roster. Went to beat the Freeland Falcons in the Class C Regional Championship Game. Freeland was the best team in that Regionals. Sandusky had a Cinderella Run in the postseason in 1996. Lose to the Sanford Merdian Mustangs at Bailey Park in Battle Creek in the Class C Semifinals.
Jeremy’s son is in 7th grade at Frankenmuth Middle School. Standout Basketball & Baseball player in the upcoming years ahead. Dependable player to have in the program. Drives him to Frankenmuth schools everyday. Took him out of Reese schools. Transfer him to Frankenmuth instead.
Tim Roberts played 3 sports in HS for the Reese Rockets. 1997 Reese HS Graduated. Standout in Baseball. Very good pitcher for Head Coach Dave Elliott. On the Back 2 Back TCC American Division Title in Baseball. Back 2 Back Class C District Champions. Class C Regional Champions. Loss in the Class C Semifinals at Bailey Park in Battle Creek in 1997. Baseball was Tim’s best sport he was best at. Played at Northwood Timberwolves Baseball Team in Midland. Help out the Reese Rockets Baseball Team in 2003. Good squad with Brian Kern, David Dinsmore, & company. Won the GTCW Division Title. Class C District Champions. Lose to the Goodrich Martians in the Class C Regional Championship Game. 2-outs Reese played dropped a pop up & loss the game to Goodrich. That would’ve been the year to go to Bailey Park in Battle Creek to play for a Division 3 Semifinal appearance. Didn’t happen. Bad taste of their mouth. Not talk about that one at all.
On the 1996 TCC American Division Champions in Basketball. Played with Jeremy Teddy. Won the Class C District Championship Title as well too. Lose to the EPB Lakers in the Class C Regional Championship Game at Sandusky HS 65-60. Beat the Marlette Red Raiders at home in the Class C District Championship Game. Had Marlette on their ropes in 1997 Class C District Championship Game at Sandusky HS. 18-point lead going into the 4th Quarter. Lose the game 68-66. So sad to see them lose like that one. Ended his playing career in 1997. Heart broken not to talk about as well too.
Tim’s brother Steve was a good Baseball player in his own right. 1993 Reese HS Graduated. Very good hitter for Head Coach Jim Van Paris in his playing days. Jim passed away 2 months ago. Mayville had a good team in 1993. Had to see Scott Frenzel & company. 2nd best pitcher Mayville ever had in School History. Scott had good movements on his fastball & threw good junk pitches like his sweeper or breaking ball. Good stuff. Steve can hit the ball a country mile. Lost to the Mayville Wildcats in the Class C Regional Championship Game at Deckerville HS. Terrible place to have a HS Baseball Regional. Little League Field on their Baseball Diamond in 1993. Won the share of the TCC Title with Mayville in 1993.
Tim works at Millington Schools in the Business Office side of things. Lives in Frankenmuth right by the Taco Bell restaurant. Tim & Jeremy are nice guys overall. Hard working individual people…..
