Rachel Van Dyk has done a very good job in her 4th year as Head Coach for the Imlay City Spartans Volleyball Team. She is building a good program already now in progress. Getting a good foundation in play as well too. Knows her Volleyball very well. Played College Volleyball for the Michigan State Spartans in East Lansing 2014-17. From Illinois. Her husband is from Imlay City. Met up together in College. She is the Gym Teacher at Imlay City Schools. Helped out Jim Fish for the North Branch Broncos Volleyball Team 2018-20. Really good mentored to learn from. Guided, Rachel to success as Volleyball Head Coach for the Imlay City Spartans 2021-present. She is a program builder. Seeing a good IC squad in 2024. I was impressed with that roster last week against the Cros-Lex Pioneers on the road in BWAC action. Last 2 years were a 5-set match. Won by IC in 2022 & CL in 2023. 2024 was a 3-set match won by IC. 15-5 on the 2024 campaign. 5 matches were against teams outside the area the loss to so far. Got a good Coaching Staff on hand now. Doing amazing work for the players in the program. Good students of the game & also in the classroom. Discipline side of things has impressed me of what Rachel has done. She is a very good HS Volleyball Head Coach for the Imlay City Spartans. Best one around for this position she is in now. Fortunate to enough to have her their anyways. She is well liked by everyone else in the Imlay City Community. Good personality & treats everyone else the way you want to be treated.

Seeing better player development & keeping them ahead of schedule. Players understand Rachel’s Volleyball very well. Play by talent not by your name. Win lots of games you play by their talents in any sport you do out there anyways. Won 15 matches of the 2024 campaign. Playing them by their talents not by their name. Love playing the no name players in sport you coach & play out there. Play the matchups as well too. Saw what happen against the Cros-Lex Pioneers Last Tuesday Night at C-L HS in BWAC Action. Imlay City Spartans Volleyball Team is going to be the one to watch out for in the upcoming years ahead. Tons of good young talent coming up in the younger grades ahead. Rachel Van Dyk is the best one available for that spot she is in now. Players are having fun playing Volleyball in IC. She had really good mentors she learned from the best of them. Good people there to guide you to succeed as a sports coach for the future years ahead. Seeing them having a winning culture in play now.

Rachel Van Dyk has a really good Coaching Staff with good experience. Nicole Jones is a very good Volleyball Coach. Helping out the JV squad for the Imlay City Spartans in 2024. Nicole brings in a good variety of stuff to Rachel’s system. Good 2 years as Varsity Volleyball Head Coach for the Brown City Green Devils 2011-12. Won the Class C District Title in 2012. Kept the program in excellent shape for Jenna Welke to step right on in for more years to come yet. Nicole respects her players very well. Seeing them working on their game as hard as they can. Prepare for the Varsity level. Good one to have her there now in IC. More good coaches in the program now. Gotta trust Rachel & everyone else in the Imlay City Spartans Volleyball Team & Program. Foundation is already there. Keep that one rolling for the whole time being. Impressive in play now in IC. Good hire by IC School Board & AD recommended her to be the Varsity Volleyball Head Coach in 2021-present.
