Leo Henige played 4 years as OT for the Chesaning Indians Football Team in HS 1997-00. 2001 Chesaning HS Graduated. On the 1998 Class B State Championship Team as a Sophomore on Varsity. Lead the way for QB Ryan Brady & company. Beat Belding in the Class B State Championship Game at the Pontiac Silverdome in Pontiac. 3-1 against the Montrose Rams in his playing career at Chesaning. Montrose had a good 2000 squad. Lose to the eventual State Champions Jackson Lumen Christi Titans in the Division 5 Semifinal Game at Atwood Stadium in Flint. Leo got to be a good part of something special in 2001. It was a honor & privilege to play for the Maize & Blue 2001-05. Redshirt in 2001. Got his opportunity in the last 4 years at OG. Beat the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 100th game in 2003 at The Big House in Ann Arbor. Beat the Defending National Champions at home 35-21. Be 2003 B1G Conference Football Champions. Amazing feeling indeed. Lose to the USC Trojans in the 90th Rose Bowl Game on New Years Day in Pasadena, CA 28-14.

Beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 4 years in a row. Best win was on November 26th, 2022 at the Horseshoe in Columbus. Donovan “The Don” Edwards went off in that contest on the road in a tough hostile environment on Thanksgiving Weekend. 75 & 85 yard TD run in the 4th Quarter for the Maize & Blue. Step right on in for Blake “The Great” Corum in that game. Finish the game with 215 rushing yards. Get out of Columbus with a 45-23 win. Fun bus ride home to Ann Arbor on Saturday Night. Upset them on November 30th, 2024 at the Horseshoe in Columbus. 13-10 upset win on Thanksgiving Weekend. Beat the National Champions at their house.

Got a 30-27 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers this past Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Big win for the Maize & Blue in the B1G Conference Opener.
