Jeremy Abrego has done a good job as Head Coach for the Peck Pirates Boys Basketball Team in his 10 years at the helm. Took over for Garnett Kohler in the 2010-11 campaign. 1991 Peck HS Graduated. Played on the Class D District Title Squad in 1991 for the Peck Pirates Boys Basketball Team. Also remembers the 1986 Girls Basketball Team that won the Class D State Championship Team when he was in 8th Grade. Also remembers the 1989 Peck Pirates Girls Basketball Team that went to the Class D Semifinals & lost in that one too. Graduated with Shelli Ross at Peck HS. She played on that squad in 1989 for Head Coach John Presnell. That was John’s favorite player of all-times. Coached his best team in the 2013-14 campaign for the Peck Pirates Boys Basketball Team with his Twin Sons on the squad that season. Went undefeated in the regular season. Won the Class D District & Regional Championship Title Teams in 2014. Lose to the Eventual State Champions Southfield Christian in the Class D Quarterfinals at Burton Bendle HS. His Brother Jamie played on the NCTL Conference Title Team in the 1993-94 campaign. Won the Class D District Title against the Dryden Cardinals in OT at Kingston HS. Played on the Baseball Team that won the NCTL Conference Title. Class D District & Regional Title Teams. Lose in the Class D Quarterfinals 2-1. 1994 Peck HS Graduated. Use to Coach the Girls Basketball Teams for the Richmond Blue Devils & Peck Pirates. Neighbors with Steven Carlson in Peck in the past years. Grew up & raise in Peck for his whole entire life. Hard working individual year round. Works at the Correction Office at the Sanilac County Sheriff Office in Sandusky. Dedicated individual. Garnett Kohler is happy with Jeremy has done so far at Peck. Learn that system very well. Guided him to be successful now. Going at it 110% at all-times. Go from Point A to Point B. Stride yourself to be the best you can be each & everyday. Learn on stuff you can work on year round. Work on your weaknesses & continue to work on your strengths of your game still. Trust the process. Believe yourself & your abilities you can do in the long road. Work on it each & everyday at practices & games. Year round too. Just go at it 110%. Just do it now.
