Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett Knights Baseball Team had a nice 2019 campaign. Got to cover the Super Regional Semifinal Baseball Game Last Saturday at Brown City HS Baseball & Softball Complex. Beat Madison Heights Bishop Foley In That Game. Played a tough schedule. Beat a lot of good Division 1 teams in the State of Michigan in 2019. Head Coach Dan Cimini has a good program right now. They lost in the Division 3 State Championship Game against the Homer Trojans on Saturday at MSU in East Lansing, MI. Homer had good pitching & got a 4-0 victory. Grosse Pointe has a good Little League Baseball Program right now. I was impressed with that Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett Knights Baseball Team last week. They can hit, pitch, & run. Didn’t do that one on Saturday. They where ranked No. 4 in the State of Michigan in 2019 in Baseball.
