Head Coach Garrett Grundman has a good young squad for the 2019 Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team. Losing a lot of them to graduation a year ago. JV Squad went 8-0-1 in 2018. Now there playing on Varsity. Junior Class has a strong core of athletes from top to bottom. There good at every sport they play in. This is going to be one of the best young teams in the area in 2019. BWAC Conference is not easy at all to play in. Got be physical in every game you play in this Conference. No easy games at all. Almont & North Branch are one of the best ones around. Don’t count out Richmond. They have own them the last 7 times they have faced one another. They lose Joey Johnston to graduation & he was a good QB in the last 2 years for the Cros-Lex Pioneers Football Team. Going to play College Baseball at Northwood University in Midland, MI. Joey Noll is going to fill in for Joey Johnston position very nicely at QB in the next 2 season for Head Coach Garrett Grundman. Defense will be better then it was in the past years. Good core of juniors on the squad. Got to compete each & every day in practices & games. Go do the job for the team to be successful down the road. Play smart & discipline team Football each week. Count down on the penalties. Make things count. Believe in one another & encourage one another. BWAC Conference Football is not easy games to play in each & every week. Go out & do this for the fans & coaches. Trust one another to do the job for them to be successful down the road. Can’t take no more lightly at all. Go play the game of Football you love to play for being young child you wish to play these days of ages. Make this thing count for you & the coaches to see you can do this for your school in 2019.
