Ian Book did enough for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a road victory against the Louisville Cardinals on Labor Day Weekend. Threw a TD Pass & Run in this game for Head Coach Brian Kelly. Defense got off to a slow start in the 1st Quarter. The next 3 Quarters they started to play good Defense. Held them to 3 points in the last 3 Quarters. Defensive Coordinator Clark Lea made some good adjustments during the game came along. Score 35 points on the scoreboard in that game. Force 5 & recovered 3 of them. Louisville Cardinals played very well in the opener. 1st Year Head Coach Scott Satterfield did a very good coaching the team up. Came from Appalachian State Mountaineers. He trusted the players to go out & compete all game long. Go out there to make a good team effort for the team & program in this game. He is going to build a good foundation for the Louisville Cardinals Football Team & Program in the future. Offense played very well in the 1st Quarter against the good Notre Dame Fighting Irish Defense. Put up 14 points on the scoreboard in the 1st Quarter. They put the foot off the gas pedal. Defense played very well in this game. Except on the fumble recovery Notre Dame had late in the 2nd Quarter. Ian Book scored from 11 yards out on a 3rd & Goal Play before halftime. Louisville gave up 2 more TD’s in the 2nd Half. All in all. Louisville Cardinals is going to be a much better team in 2019. Last 5 Games Of The 2018 Season They Gave Up 50 Points On The Scoreboard. Got there Head Coach Fired. Went to Scott Satterfield instead. They will play hard for there 1st Year Head Coach & improved as a team each & every game they play in 2019. Notre Dame is got a tough schedule to play out there on the road in 2019. Michigan, Stanford, & Georgia. Not a easy one for sure for Head Coach Brian Kelly in South Bend. Gotta play a tough schedule anyways. Good road victory for Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Team. Work has to be done yet still. Only 1 they played in 2019.
