Landin Zimmer carried the USA Patriots Boys Basketball Team to a victory on Wednesday Night against the Ubly Bearcats in a GTC Crossover Game at Ubly HS. Hit 7 3-Pointers & finished with 29 Pts in the victory. USA doesn’t have a deep bench this season. Landin has to carried that load for Head Coach Mark Gainforth all season long. GTCW Division is loaded from top to bottom. Don’t have a lot of height. They can stroke from long distance. That is Landin Zimmer for you. I remember Landin in the Division 3 Regional Semifinal Game against the Ithaca Yellowjackets a year ago at Bad Axe HS. Landin hit 7 3-Pointers in that game & won in Overtime. Has played on Varsity for 3 years already. His Development has come along ways for the USA Patriots Boys Basketball Team for Head Coach Mark Gainforth. One of the best Shooters in the Thumb Area this season. He is a good shooter. Always has been a good shooter thru out his career. Nash Morton is the best Defender in the Whole Thumb Area once again. GTCW Division is loaded this season. No easy games to play at all. Gotten bring your A game each & every night. Ubly had a rough 1st Half scoring 8 points & 2nd Half was a different story. Made good adjustments at Halftime. Scoring 36 points in the 2nd Half. Ubly is Rebuilding once again still. Got a good 8th Grade Class coming up. 1st Year Head Coach Branden Sorenson is got a good core of them in the 8th Grade Class at Ubly. Wants to bring the culture back once. That is the goal. They are playing hard all the time. Branden wants the team to improve each & every week for now on for the Ubly Bearcats Boys Basketball Team & Program in the future. Play hard all the time. Trust there stuff each & every week as well too. It will take time to build a good program up at Ubly. GTCE Division is weak this season. Still go out & compete at the highest level you can reach now.
