Saw him put a Pancake Block in the Illinois Fighting Illini Game on the road in a 42-25 victory in Champaign a year ago. 3-Star Recruit in the 2018 Class out of High School at Grand Rapids Catholic Central HS in Grand Rapids, MI. Sat out as a True Freshman in 2018. His work ethic & development came in very well in the off-season workouts. Over 300 lbs. He can move very well & good footwork & also has good intangibles. Good strength also too. Good techniques & fundamentals also too. Good student of the game & also in the good in the classroom. Listens to details from his professors in the classroom & also too his Coaches at practices & games & also at the meetings for the Football Team. Good mind of that one too. Jim Harbaugh is fortunate to have Jalen Mayfield on the Football Team. Hard working individual each & everyday in the weight room, in the classroom, in practices & games. Learning the playbook as well too. Good overall player & student of the game & classroom. Got a good mind of that one. Does good stuff for the young guys on the team as well too. Saw that one in the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders Game in the opener at The Big House in Ann Arbor on Labor Day Weekend. Did a good job filling in for the injured Jon Runyan Jr in the 40-21 victory. 3-Star recruit in the 2018 Class out of High School at Traverse City West in Traverse City, MI. Also sat out as a True Freshman in 2018. Switch from a Tight End Position to a Offensive Tackle Position. Smart move indeed. Also a good student of the game as well too at Offensive Tackle too.
