Won his 500th career victory as Head Coach for the Reese Rockets Baseball Team & Program at home against Saginaw Valley Lutheran Chargers on May 6th. Lots of good players that came into that system he runs out there. Good friends with Curt Henderson, Wayne Turmell, Barry Ziehm, & other ones too. Best squad he in his career was in 2002 with David Dinsmore, Brian Kern, & company. They had pitching & hitting on that squad. They can do it all for themselves. Make things interesting on everyone on that squad. Knew how to play the Game of Baseball the right way. Won the GTCW Division Title & Division 3 District Title. They should’ve won the Division 3 Regional Crown that season too. Got upset by the Clare Pioneers. That 2002 Reese Rockets Baseball Team was stacked from Top 2 Bottom. They had guys can do it all on this squad. 1st Regional Crown they won was in 1997 with Tim Roberts & company. TCC American Champions, Class C District & Regional Champions & Quarterfinals Win. Lose in the Semifinals at Bailey Park in Battle Creek. 2001 squad was stacked as well too. GTCW Division Champions, Division 3 District & Regional Champions. Lose in the Quarterfinals at Troy Athens HS. 2014 squad GTCW Division Champions, Division 3 District, Regional, Quarterfinals Champions. Lose to the Grosse Pointe Woods University Of Liggett Knights in the Semifinals at MSU in East Lansing. Got upset in the Class C Regional Semifinal Game to the Sandusky Redskins at Bay City All Saints HS in 1996. They had Jeremy Teddy & Chris Jucious & company. They won the TCC American & Class C District Title. Found a way to beat the Mayville Wildcats in the District Championship Game. Got lucky to beat Mayville 2-1 in the 7th inning. They had Chad Brant as there ace on the mound for the Mayville Wildcats Baseball Team in 1996. Hard throwing Right Hander. Mayville was good that season in 1996. Dave is a Michigan Wolverines Sports Fan. Saw the Maize & Blue play in the CWS Finals in 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska & lose in 3 games to the Vanderbilt Commodores. Great run indeed for that Baseball Team for the 2019 Michigan Wolverines Baseball Team. Head Coach Erik Bakich has done a good job with that squad he is got now in Ann Arbor.
