James Minard has replaced Ryan Pritchett as Varsity Baseball Head Coach in 2022 Sandusky Redskins Squad. Won 19 games in 2021 with Ryan Pritchett at the helm. James was the JV Coach in 2021 & they won 19 games in 2021. Nice mixed of Seniors & Youth on this Ball Club now. Went 5-1 overall record last week. Sweep the GTCE Division Teams on the road Marlette Red Raiders on Monday Night 2-Time Defending GTCE Division Champions. Went to the Division 4 Semifinals. Swept the Harbor Beach Pirates on Friday Night. Split the DH in GTC Crossover Action at Albrecht Field in Sandusky against the Bad Axe Hatchets. Lose 3-2 in Game 1 & Win Game 2 1-0. Bad Axe is in 1st Place in the GTCW Division Action right now. Haven’t gotten blowout at all on the schedule in 2022. That is a good sign indeed. Coach Little League, Babe Ruth, & JV, & now the Varsity Level. Making a difference now. Played on the great 1994 squad with Jason Krause & Jamie Franzel & Company. Share the TCC Crown with the Mayville Wildcats & Reese Rockets. Class C District Champions at home & won a Regional Semifinal Game in Marlette against the Reese Rockets. Jamie Franzel’s catch in CF Brent Lynch crush that pitch off of Jason Krause. Jamie came out of nowhere made that remarkable catch. Head Coach Barry Ziehm said the best play & catch he ever saw in his life from Jamie Franzel in his Head Coaching Career. Days will never be forgotten. Always will be remembered forever now. He is a Junior at Sandusky HS. James loves Baseball so much…….. Excellent Athlete Indeed…….
