2023 Michigan Wolverines Football Team on Defense has been unbelievable in the 1st 5 games of the season. Held all 5 opponents to single digits on the scoreboard. Most points allowed was 7. Allowed 3 TD’s & 3 FG’s. 30 points they allowed in all 5 wins. 2nd year DC Jesse Minter done a marvelous job with the 3-4 Defense. All started with Mike MacDonald in 2021. Kept on coming & coming for more. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh has done a good job revamping the Coaching Staff in the last 3 years in Ann Arbor. Job isn’t done yet still. More work to do yet now. Been 30-3 record in the last 33 games & 3 years in counting. Best thing Jim Harbaugh did was fire DC Don Brown on December 22nd, 2020. Paid dividends for this unit. Players like the 3-4 Defense. Working out nicely now. Better results & stats on the playing field. Get a 45-7 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln on Saturday. 1st road game of the season & win on the road. Defense Wins Games In Sports Period.
Jim Harbaugh went back to the NFL roots from his Brother John Harbaugh for the Baltimore Ravens. Play the 3-4 Defense for the Maize & Blue. Took a lot of players to the NFL in the last 2 years. Seeing them succeed right away. Back 2 Back B1G Conference Football Champions. Wanna see them win the College Football Playoff Game. Failed to do that one. This is the year to do it. Kris Jenkins having a good 3 years at DT for the Michigan Wolverines Football Team in Ann Arbor. Good talent around Kris Jenkins at his position. Mike Elston has done a good job with D-Line Unit. Stop the run. Make them throw. Create turnovers. Kris had a INT against the Bowling Green Falcons 2 weeks on Saturday Night Football on BTN. Get a 31-6 win in Non-Conference Action. His teammate Kenneth Grant got a INT in the 1st Quarter on Saturday in Lincoln. Setup RB Kalel Mullings for a TD run. Take a 14-0 lead over Nebraska.
No. 1 scoring Defense in the nation this week for the Maize & Blue. 6 points a game they average. Credit DC Jesse Minter on his fine work. Jim Harbaugh made a good hire in 2022. Paid off nicely indeed. Keep the trend going forward to the rest of the 2023 season in Ann Arbor.
