Sandusky Wolves Girls 🏀 Team took care of business on Wednesday Night at Lakeville HS. Beat the Montrose Rams 34-22 in the Division 3 Regional Championship Game. Al DeMott praises Defense every year. You saw that one on display once again. Defense takes you a long ways away in the postseason. Held them to 22 points on the scoreboard. No one had them winning 25 games this year. It happened for one reason. Al DeMott has been the difference maker to this program in his 44 years at the helm. Won the GTCE Division Title in the regular season. Carry that one over to postseason win the Division 3 District & Regional Championship 🏆 Titles. Losing 8 players off the roster to graduation in the last 2 years. It ain’t Al DeMott’s Top 25 teams in his 44 years at the helm. Hard working bunch of individuals in the program. It was going to be a good young team. They responded very well all season long. More work to do out there in practice this week. Take on the Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest Crusaders in the Division 3 Quarterfinal Game at McMorran Arena in Port Huron. Travel to the SC4 Campus on Tuesday Night at 7 PM. Grace Guibord getting good production from Helena Long & Maggy Keinath in the Regionals this week against the Cass City Red Hawks & Montrose Rams at Lakeville HS. Adalee Kaufman’s Defense & Rebounding in the postseason. Caroline Reinke & Grace Guibord run the show. They are making a difference in the postseason. Losing Morgan Taege, Allysen & Brookelyn Jansen off the team to graduation a year ago. Newcomers have stepped in right away. Fill in there shoes. Carry the tradition for more years to come yet still. Al DeMott had a milestone season a year ago. This year was a different story. Hung in there nicely indeed. Just play Sandusky Wolves 🏀 period. Did that one. After the lost to the Harbor Beach Pirates on January 2nd, 2024 at Harbor Beach HS. Went on to win 20 straight games in a row. Unfinished business to handle yet still in practice this week. Prepare for the 17-9 Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest Crusaders on Tuesday Night at SC4 in Port Huron 7 PM. Fun ride for this young team Al DeMott has out there anyways. Celebrate that one in school. Business to handle for 3 days of practice this week. Be all in & go at it 110% in practices & carry that one over to the game on Tuesday Night in Port Huron.
