Bill Brown guided the 2024 Deckerville Eagles to a Division 1 8-Player Football State Championship Title on Saturday at the Superior Dome at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Tails of 2 halves by the Pickford Panthers & Deckerville Eagles. Pickford solid 1st half & Deckerville in the 2nd half. Jeremy Burgess called that one right who was going to be the 1st one to score 30 points in this contest. Was going to be State Champs. It happened to the Deckerville Eagles in this game. Made amazing adjustments at halftime. Defense took controlled in the 2nd half. Tommy Storey is a heck of a player for the Pickford Panthers Football Team. Over 300 yards rushing this one & 4 TD runs in the 1st half. Made great halftime adjustments to slow down Tommy Storey in the 2nd half. Pickford is a good team. 12-0 vs 12-0 in this biggest game of the 2024 campaign. Don’t get any better than that one. Deckerville went 6 1/2 hours to go up to Marquette on Thursday. Great supporting cast on hand for that one too. Great game indeed. Blessed to be there for that one. 2nd State Championship Title in his 31 years as Head Coach for the Deckerville Eagles Football Team. School Record 13 wins in 2024. Impressive squad indeed…….
